ASR – The Affiliate Standard. A Highlight at this Year’s iGB London
One of the highlights at this year’s iGB Affiliates London 2022 show was a conference entitled ‘The Affiliate Standard – a game changer for the iGaming sector?’ This brought together some of the most influential minds in the Affiliate Marketing industry on a panel to unveil the Affiliate Standard Reporting (ASR) 1.0 initiative.
The ASR initiative originated back in 2019. A group of four high-profile affiliate companies – Better Collective, Catena Media, Game Lounge, and Raketech – gathered to address an ongoing concern within the industry – affiliate data and reporting standards. The three key points explored are Business Intelligence, Technical Integration, and Financial Reporting:
- Business Intelligence (BI): The ASR initiative will strive to improve the quality and flow of data. As a result, affiliates will be better positioned to generate more customers for operators.
- Technical Integration: By having affiliates receive data systematically and formatted seamlessly, there will be less need for tailored solutions and technical support.
- Financial Reporting: With most affiliates being stock listed, they are required to adhere to industry standards when reporting revenues and customers. ASR will help build trust through transparency and accuracy. Eventually, other forms of reporting will follow suit.
Raphael Arnold, NetRefer’s Founder and CEO, joined the conference as a key speaker to share his views on ASR and how NetRefer will contribute to propagating it. Raphael was accompanied by Erica Anderson (VP of Marketing, Income Access), Oscar Karlsten (COO, Raketech), Joshua Pizzie (Sen. Director of Commercial, Better Collective), and Ryan Henderson (Head of Affiliates, Kindred Group).
The main takeaway was that ASR will simplify and standardise data and report handling for affiliates. And, by popularising these practices, building more transparent business relationships, reducing costs and efforts, and maximising profitability becomes more feasible.
NetRefer, as led by Raphael’s vision, experience, and knowledge, is fully committed to embracing ASR as it fully aligns itself with NetRefer’s mantra – Clear · Fair · Trusted. By implementing it into the platform, NetRefer will be taking an active stance in standardising ASR across the industry.
